Really informative. The best thing to see if it’s happening TO YOU or FOR YOU. I made a mistake today at work and luckily I watched your video just after that, I followed the same three steps you advised and got over that stress to spill the whole day. Thank you so much for such a great life-saving tip.
Thank you Naveed. Glad you liked it and more importantly helped you make a shift at work.
We are all perfectly imperfect. Those mistakes are opportunities for growth.
Let me know how I can support you going forward.

Great tip! I listened to it 3 times and sat my daughter down to listen as well. Something happened recently, and I’m trying to reshape my thinking about why this is happening FOR me. It really is a fantastic shift in perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Ah, three is the magic number Wendy. Glad you liked it and shared it with your daughter.
If I can be of support going forward, just let me know.
Michael
I feel like your words just lifted a weight off my shoulders. I have a toxic neighbor who hurdles his constant state of anger my way and I’ve certainly let those bad moments turn into bad days and beyond. I’ve been looking at it wrong. Is this happening to me or for me? is such a helpful and healthy question to shift out of my initial reaction(s). Thank you for shedding light on how to manage these moments. I’m trying your technique out now, as I write this. Thank you!
So glad to hear Karin. If I can offer support in any way going forward, please let me know.

Pause – Breathe – Reflect…
So, so, so inspirational. Wow. I’m so glad you are alive to share this experience and your wisdom with us.
Thank you!
(I want that t-shirt 🙂 )
Thanks Mary. So happy it spoke to you.
I’m glad to be alive as well. 🙂 It gave us a chance to connect.
Glad you love the t-shirt. It’s so soft and has a great message inside. Through CMK2021 there will be a special price for it. I think May will share the details soon if she hasn’t already.
Let me know how I can support as you go forward.

A cause to pause, Mr. O’Brien’s practical observations and suggestions on mitigating stressful moments from snowballing. The three memorable steps of pausing, breathing, and reflecting allow an individual to regroup and refocus. His clever, emotionally self-aware use of grammar, turns the “to” of victimhood into the “for” of potential opportunity. I’m all for it!
Love it Marc – a cause to pause. Glad you like the talk. Thanks for checking it out. Have a beautiful weekend.
Michael
What a great talk! I have so many tips to use. I love the Pause – Breathe – Reflect – it is so important to understand the breathe and to know how it affects us. Stopping a moment also gives a moment to be in the moment and understand is this happening to me, or for me? LOVE IT and the T-shirt is so awesome, I will have to get one.
Hi Ashley, glad you liked it. Our breath is so essential especially right now.

As a fellow cycling enthusiast, I loved listening to Michael speak. I often refer to my rides as therapy sessions, and I can definitely identify my friends who help me find clarity, get through crises, challenge me, comfort me, and help me celebrate. My best friend (and fellow cyclist) has a wonderful “comfort” phrase: Take two wheels and call your bike in the morning. I texted her after watching this video and said, “Put that on a t-shirt!”
Michael – if you’re ever in San Diego, I’d love to take you on a ride…we’ve got the coast, mountains, and desert all in one county!
Hey Deanna, I would love to turn the pedals with you. In 2018, I was down in La Jolla for a week and the riding was awesome-sauce. And I think your friend definitely has a t-shirt in her future. I would be one of her first customers. It would be a great compliment to Pause.Breathe.Reflect.
Keep pedaling. Grateful to be connected.

All the events in your life are neutral, until you label them. Whoa! Mind blown.
Love it Kerry – yeah, it blew mind as well when I heard it for the first time. Thanks for reaching out. Grateful we connected. Michael
Great Talk and wisdom… Very inspirational.
Thank you so much Michael for such a great tip – Pause, Breathe and Reflect…
Thank you so much Parul. Glad you found it to be inspirational. Keep up with the Pause, Breathe, and Reflect and let me know what support you need going forward.
